He wouldn't be the first chief executive with temper managment problems.
Clinton, Nixon, Johnson and the first Roosevelt had volcanic tempers and never balked at demonstrating them.
I'm not saying its a plus, I'm saying I'm neutral on this as a vote deciding issue.

Never mattered before, non issue.

This is starting to get some play right now as his fellow Senators are making it an issue. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/8/26/161637/768/ 894/575763

On his 2000 campaign, Sen. John McCain told reporters, "I hated the g---. I will hate them as long as I live. Being a g--- myself, why should I vote for him? "Bomb Bomb Iran" sent a clear message that all Asians are foreigners and will remain forever the enemy. Update. I love the condescending smirk that he gives to the Asian voter that he can't see. When he elected, I won't be surprise if "Bomb Bomb Iran" makes an excuse to bomb some Asian country.

I'd prefer not to have a hothead as my President. I'd rather have someone more rational and who can keep his cool.

A bad temper can be a turn off, but I'd rather have a hot head than a wimp.

We've elected hot-heads before and the Republic still stands. Bill Clinton had the worst temper in recent Presidential history. Teddy Roosevelt's also had a hot temper; in fact, he once told a political opponent that he would throw him out the White House window! Yet Roosevelt went on to win the Nobel Peace Prize for his diplomacy in the Russo-Japanese War. Does McCain get angry on occasion? Certainly, but I don't consider this a disqualifying factor. Just because he gets angry on occasion does not mean that he will go out and start a new war.

Good for him and for us. We need a President who believes in what he stands for and stands for what he believes. Do we need another flip-flopper?
