05/28/2008 | A 4 star player if measured strictly for this list - I think only Tommy Davis surpassed Harper in terms of performance for everyday players on this list. Harper also played for Milwaukee, the Red Sox, A's, and others. He still holds the single season stolen bases mark with the Red Sox, having swiped 54 bases in 1973. Harper had power and speed in his best years, like 1970, and had a solid career- had there been fantasy teams in those days, Harper would have been a good pick.
