Obama's primary losses won't make a big difference in those states. California and New York are so overwhelmingly Democratic that it doesn't matter who they nominate. The Dems will carry those two states regardless of. Texas is solidly in the Republican camp this year, so it won't make any difference. The states where Obama's weaknesses are most evident are Ohio, Florida and Missouri--all states that the Democrats should be holding significant advantages due to economic factors but yet aren't.

Cali and NY were Hillary's turf and Texas...Well, they eat too much there to really pay attention to politics? no?

I'm not an Obama fan by any means, but this might be one of the best reasons for someone to vote FOR him. I'm always suspicious of politicians who have a lot of support in CA or NY, as it worries me that they may be pandering to the um, how should I say it, unique political views of people who tend to live on the coasts, at the expense of the rest of the country.

Well, let's see... There is no way in hell Obama is winning Texas, unless of course by some miracle. (Even with Bob Barr siphoning off some of the conservative vote.) However, McCain has no chance of winning California, New York, or any other "big state".

This is one of the Clinton spins, and it is the veriest hogwash.

Case in point. Obama lost Massachusetts to Clinton. If he's the nominee, he sure as hell isn't losing it to McCain. Likewise, Clinton beat Obama in Texas. If she's the candidate, she won't stand a chance there against McCain.

Specious argument.
