It doesn't make any difference in what state you live. From a purely economic and practical analysis, your vote does not count. Does anyone on this site remember an election that was decided by YOUR vote? Again looking at it from an economics viewpoint, you have to take off work or drive out of your way, stand in line, put up with a bunch of b.s. and then cast your ballot. The result? It wouldn't have made a bit of difference if you voted or not.
If you were the only person voting, then of course, it would make a difference. Unfortunatley, you aren't the sole voter. No policies were changed; no directions were shifted; no attention grabbed; no anything else because you did or did not vote. You get no economic, political or any other kind of benefit from your act of voting.
To answer the argument, "what if everyone thought that way?" Well, relax, they don't. So again, your vote does not count.
Now before you all get the vapors over this comment, remember, I am making it from a purely economics viewpoint and not from partriotism, or duty or some other motive.
