well all i can say is that i care about politics beacuse aour country is facing some issue that affects all americans..
The housing market crisis is a major issue in the upcoming US Presidential Election and has a significant impact for all Americans where Obama and McCain talk about in http://pollclash.com .just like soaring oil prices are affecting the costs of everything from food to gas and even houses rental. There are also significant issues on local and global environmental impact. While there are many issues, we need to look at our next leader and determine which will have the best course of action going forward. Both candidates, John McCain and Barack Obama are attempting to address the issue and differentiate their positions from one another. And I think that everyone is missing the point of this. We need a new resource. We need a solution to this problem not another way around it…

true I care about politics and what issues i believe to be important.but I do not enjoy talking about politics. I usually keep my political beliefs quiet. mostly because discussing politics can get so emotional. some people can downright nasty if you dare to disagree with them. for example I refused to discuss politics with my mother. she never really knew what i believed.she would get so furious if someone had a different view than hers. she would get downright nasty and insulting to the culprit who dared to think different.so for the most part I quietly soak in what the candidates have to say and have my vote. so far I am undecided for who I am voting for.

To an old apparatchik like me, "not enjoying politics" barely computes. Its the best blood sport going. But I fully realize that my sickness is not shared by everyone.
Most voters pay only cursory attention, and depend on a variety of external advisors to help them make their decision. These might be media pundits, family members, work colleagues, buddies in the tavern, or any of a host of other factors.
Voters "care" about politics, but don't have the patience or the interest to do the hard graft of really analyzing the situation. Because of that fact, people like I used to be make a pretty good living spin-doctoring, media-consulting, image massaging, focus grouping, and speech writing. The idea being to package the candidate in small digestible and entertaining sound bites, because that's all that 90% of the electorate hears anyway.
And let me take this opportunity to thank you for letting me influence some of you in the past, and allow me to support my family and all my dependent bartenders.

Learning about the candidates and the issues is too much work for most people, even though it is ostensibly their duty in a representative democracy. Because of this, lots of people vote based on "likability". I'd rather be undecided than make a decision for that reason.
