Soundtrack for an odd movie starring Mick Jagger and James Fox that mixed the underworld with the counterculture. Chiefly notable for two songs. One is Randy Newman's " Gone Dead Train." The other, more well known song is Jagger's solo debut recording, " Memo From Turner," which also appeared in " Goodfellas" year later. The song, a weird, inscrutable Dylanesque thing( the influence on Jagger's lyrics, especially in songs like " Jigsaw Puzzle," sometimes is overlooked has smoking guitar from Ry Cooder. The song is sometimes erroneously thought of as a Stones song, but technically it's a Jagger one, and in my view the only solo classic he ever made that I've heard.
