I think she was ok. I knew she was in fashion. I like her for being one of the stars that is helping the save the circus elephants campaign. It was in PETA. They just had a trial on it in Washington, DC. They do feel things and have opinions.

I was just coming into my adolescent heat when she appeared regularly in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues, and, when I was unable to steal a Playboy or a Penthouse from the local luncheonette, the swimsuit issues were not as hard to steal from the local library. I know nothing at all about her-- where she came from, what her history was, whatever-- but all I can say is that those swimsuit issues featuring her in various stages of near-nudity got a lot of...ahem..."one-handed" reading from me during those feverish, long-ago years. Particularly the one where she wore what appeared to be a "swimsuit" of white netting, and little else. Needless to say, one didn't have to be a "matinee idol" or a "swimsuit model" during those...shall we say intense?...early teenage years to attact my ardent attention. Truth be told, I had sexual fantasies during those years about Eleanor Roosevelt and Archie comic strip characters and Mrs. Norvell down the street and the school nurse, among many others. But Cheryl Tiegs does stand out in my memory, for that white netting "swimsuit", if for nothing else.

Attractive faces are replaced at a pretty swift rate in this decade, previous and ones following. Sure, she was pretty but nothing particularly special - just one more in a long line of same old same old.
