Chump! No honor, no loyalty? Are we to believe you now? A real man would have stood up when he encountered the injustice you claim now to pad your wallet. DO NOT BUY THIS DISHONEST FOOL'S BOOK!

The last shriek in a long line of people who have been telling you people (for years) that believing anything dubya has to say about anything is certifiably retarded. He didn't 'turn' against anyone- he did what any DC dubya lapdog does while on the payroll and then (after the job is over) actually tell the dubya-whores what actually goes on in the land of faith over reason. No real story if you've been paying any kind of attention. . .

The job of press secretary is to communicate the policies and actions of the administration. I thought Scott did a piss poor job. He's gonna make a couple bucks on a book that reveals nothing new. Once the media's done using him, he'll be a distant memory.

I haven't read the book so I can't say much about what is in it. What I've heard about has come off as erroneous accusations and claims without explanation, which is nothing unusual. Whatever is in the book, my first thought about Scott McClellan will continue to be that he always looked like he was about to pee his pants when he stood up in front of the media.

My favorite attempt to discredit this guy has got to be the line that he was "persuaded by New York publishers" to exaggerate the truth in his book. What could that possibly be code for?

He's only the last in line to expose the workings of the Bush White House, and not the most daring either, though the current attacks on him for not speaking his mind while in office seem disingenuous: he was hired to be a mouthpiece, after all, and even if he'd had the courage to address policy his ideas would have been ridiculed. History will forget Scott McClellan. But in the current moment his memoir has had some immediate impact, confirming what many braver insiders have said, and adding to the public debate a credible voice, and a face that most Americans will recognize.
