The popped collar is a very useful method of detecting these guys in advance. For a lot of the other methods on this list, you have to interact with them in some way to find out. But you can spot a popped collar from a distance, and you can just avoid them completely. Especially beware of the guys with two or more shirts, with the collars on all shirts popped, as well as the pink polo shirt collar popper. These last two popped collar wearers are typically worse than your average collar popper.
