Mixed bag. I've met some very fine, and very friendly people while there, and from there, and I've met some blue-ribbon, brass plated arseholes.

I moved to Texas from the north and have never had trouble meeting people but there was a lot of prejudice in the more rural parts of the state...wanted nothing to do with a yankee. Other parts were fine. Have a great friend who lived in Texas for a few years and thought they were friendly.

They say half the Marine Corps is from Texas, so I've met a Texan or two. A mixed bag, to say the least...

It may have been the part of Texas I lived in, or maybe even the state of mind I was in, but I thought Texans were not friendly.
