Well. . .yes.  There are friendly people here- but with a caveat: the friendliness comes mixed with a strange sense of provinciality and, at times, a painful cultural isolationism that can best be described as naive.  That being said, there are pockets of friendly people here in my experiences. . .

So I've heard. I've passed through it a few times on 70, but I'm wary of any state with highway signs that practically BEG me to come back soon as I'm leaving it...By the way, if there are any West Virginia Kluxers out there, I have passed through your state several times in the company of a non- Caucasian chick...And I  hear if elected, Obama will seed the clouds with a redneck resistant, instant race mixing chemical...
