I know a couple of Australian fellows, and none of them are anything but extremely friendly. One even drew a picture of me.

I have never been there, but the ones I have interacted with have been very nice.

The mountain towns and ski resoorts of North America are a home away from home for Aussies in their 20's and they are great good will ambassadors for the land down under.  They are so friendly and fun loving that it makes me want to learn to speak Autralian and move down there.

I've yet to meet an unfriendly Australian.  Overbearing, loutish and impossible to get rid of Australians, I've met a fair number of them, but they're all friendly.

Actually, the above sarcasm represents a small minority, and they are indeed friendly, nonetheless.  My town gets a lot of young Aussies either vacationing or working on the ski hills, and they are among the most pleasant, friendly people I've met.

I partied with some Aussies in Thailand and Hong Kong on my port calls during my camoflauge years. They kick ass.
