I can see both sides of it. She maybe should have answered the question. Then again she thought the kid was being a pest. People were probably asking her that a lot.

I think this only mimimally fits the category which talks about the awkward moments of politicians.  Chelsea is not a politician.  Similarly, I think some of the stories surrounding the Bush twins would also not fit this category.

Yeah, this question was totally inappropriate.  The audacity of that 9 year old to ask a question that should have a simple yes answer!  The nerve!

First thing, as far as I know Chelsea Clinton is a private citizen and not accountable to the 9 year old media. Second, if the business of the nation is going to be dictated by the wants and needs of every nine year old out there, the wheels of public service will come to a stindstill before recess every single day.

This is a non-story.  Why does anyone have to listen to a nine year old expounding on national policy?  Stupid.  Plus the question is stupid.

I'm with Irishgit, if you can't take the heat of those burning questions from the nine-year-old press corps, stay out of the kitchen!

As a retired political apparatchik, I regard the concept of 9 year old reporters with disgust and disdain.

That being said, Chelsea needs a better spin-doctor and some work on media liaison.

would not have hurt her to answer that question.a harmless one. better than the rude ones she was asked about what she thought about her dad and Monica and how it would affect her mother's chances by college aged gals.

The question was a simple one, I felt kinda awkward watching it.
