Lost his train of thought at a "town hall" meeting format rally. Not a huge deal, it happens to most candidates now and then. This is similar to McCain confusing Sunni and Shia

He had the pressence of mind to acknowledge that he was stumped and pause to gather his thoughts, instead of fumble and blurt something like "Gynacologists should be allowed to practice their love of women".

I thought this was a perfectly normal instance of someone getting tongue-tied or momentarily forgetting what they were about to say. Fortunately for him, the audience received it in a good-natured fashion, and Obama came out of it smiling.

Indeed this is far more awkward than the "57 States" comment because he is forced to completely redo his statement numerous times. I will say however, that he covers up for it relatively well by trying to interact with the audience.

When Obama makes an awkward gaffe in public but the liberal media doesn't report it, is it still a gaffe?

So he lost his train of thought.

I was at an Obama rally and he made a super gaffe. I understand he does this at most rallies, but the press covers it up. The man must be a moron.
