I have been feeding kibble to my Springer Spaniel his whole life, and he is now 10 years old. He started to get food, outdoor, and indoor allergies when he turned 7. I had him on Natural Balance dry foods along with many immune system supplements and he was doing well.
But to be honest, I have to say that kibble scares me. Between the recalls, sudden ingredient changes, and bad batches of food that occur from time to time, I knew I wanted to stop feeding it all together. I have gone totally raw in the past, but my dog didn't do too well on it, even when he was weaned slowly. I wanted an inbetween . Sojos Eurpoa Grain Free Dog Mix was the dehydrated food I decided to go with after many hours of searching. This has to have been the best decision I have ever made for my dog!!
Since he has allergies and sensitivities to many meats and grains, this is perfect because I can add whatever meat I want and it's grain free. It looks and smells so good that I am tempted to eat it. You can see the fruits, veggies, eggs, and greens in the food. My dog had absolutely no problems switching over at all. His stools are small and firm. He usually has a problem with his anal glands and since he's been on this food, not a single scoot! His tummy has not been making any gurgling sounds like it used to. His teeth, breath, and skin are fantastic. An extra added bonus is that he seems more relaxed and happy. Everything about him has changed for the better!! I no longer have to give him all of the supplements I used to because he is getting whole, fresh foods with the vitamins, minerals, and enzymes still intact. The only supplement I give now is the fish oil softgels. My dog and I have never been happier. I will never go back to kibble again, unless I absolutely have to.
