One of my favorite Chicago songs, and from my favorite Chicago album (Chicago II). Great lead vocal swap between Terry Kath & Peter Cetera, excellent guitar work by Kath, and the horns are not overdone.

A track from their second record in early 1970. One of numerous the city is bad, the country is good songs with a somewhat faint environmental concern- quite a lot of environmentally conscious tunes were beginning to appear around this time. Kind of a mix of good things (Kath's lead vocals and guitar work, Cetera's bass- the guy sucks, but he was really a good bass guitarist about 10,000 years ago) and bad things- Cetera's rather mushy secondary vocals, the lyrics haven't aged well at all. Not a bad tune- not one of their best, but miles ahead of their later stuff.
