This was a very dramatic win for Tiger, even before he announced that he played the entire weekend with a more severe knee injury than anyboy thought. Rocco Mediate played excellently and helped Tiger make the tournament memorable. This was also a significant event because it will be the last time anybody sees Tiger Woods play competitive golf for an indefinite amount of time. Hopefully Tiger comes back after surgery with the same skill he has always shown.

Um... it's golf.

Pretty impressive, even though I don't care much for golf. Woods, plainly sore after surgery, staying in the hunt through the first three rounds as a tough playing course kept the pack close, then making several great shots ultimately tieing for the lead on the last hole of the fourth round.

In the Monday playoff, he and the heroic Rocco Mediate, having the tournament of his life, battled back and forth to a tie for another 18 holes, before Woods took advantage of some bad shots by Mediate to win on the first hole of sudden death.
