The call is so famous that he is trademarked or copyrighted or pattened the phrase for himself. However just going beyoned that five-word catch phrase, Michael has a good distinive voice who seems to have been put on this earth by God to be a boxing ring announcer and seems very enthusiastic about the sport of boxing when doing ring introductions and when announcing fight results afterwards. His work is so well known he has been invited to do his "rumble" call before other events such as game three of the 1996 NBA Finals in Seattle as the Sonics were set to take on the Chicago Bulls and professional wrestling matches. He is a positive for the sport of boxing.

No doubt he has a distinctive and easily recognizable voice but beyond that he is a true pro. As with Lennon, he makes every effort to pronounce ethnic names correctly and with authenticity. I have seen him in person several times at various fights and he is very approacable and always gives some time before the fights to talk with fans, sign autographs, take photos, share jokes, etc. A absolute pro.
