These boots were a huge disappointment! Besides being overpriced, they streched out a considerable amount in the first two weeks of use and made for a great deal of discomfort on the trail. They had almost completely fallen apart within a year of purchase and the Columbia sales management was rude and unhelpful.

Columbia shoes are always great for hiking. Very comfortable and waterproof. That is the best! My friends try to step over creeks on rocks and logs where I strut right through them.

These boots are very comfortable. I really recommend them to those who like to hike for long periods of time. Their also very sturdy and last a long time. In general they're very good.

Although I think Doc Martin makes the best hiking shoe around, the Columbia Rock Ridge has got to be second best with its sole that climbs almost any terrain in any weather condition. Even if scuff the shoes, a little water takes out the scratch. The laces are tight and strong, and don't come loose the whole time climbing.
