I do believe that the sun is setting on my great country. But, I will commemorate the greatest day in human history by doing this. We've elected the pompous undertaker, he will not fail in his quest but there is still enough freedom to be thankful. Enjoy your freedom, however you define it.

These words, inscribed on the Statue of Liberty, should be familiar to all Americans: " Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp! " cries she with silent lips, "give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me; I lift my lamp beside the golden door. "

Happy birthday, America.

Seems like most of the time we take our freedoms for granted. This is the one day where everyone in America, citizen and non-citizen alike, should take a moment to give thanks and to celebrate the wonderful freedoms and privileges that this great country affords. I'll be spending this 4th with my family at a parade and picnic, sharing the joy and celebration with neighbors, friends and fellow Americans. A heartfelt thank you to our founding fathers and to all who have fought for and sacrificed for this country.

Hey I don't come from here, as most of you know! The way I look at this day is of one of thanks!!! America is young and has gone through some trying times. But this day should be remembered for where you have come from and the freedom you breathe, as a free independent people. This country is great and you should all feel blessed that you all have this day to remember!!! You should join together as a family and remember what you have come from and the fact that YOU can choose your destination!! That is what I will install into my daughter as she grows up in the blessed land! The land of opportunities which once did not exist!! Many countries dont have the chance to express their gratitude for what there fore fathers did!  The USA does, Enjoy!!! ;)

This is something I try to do most days, not only on Independance Day.  How can you not feel appreciation to live in a country where you can believe what you want, can come and go as you please and have the opportunites that you have.  God Bless America!

US is a great contry and I appreciate each of its symbolic attributes.
