07/11/2008 | This was significant in my world, and I'm not even a huge soccer fan. The World Cup is a great event, and the Euro Cup is the next best in the world of soccer. It was a great tournament with amazing games, and the final lived up to expectations.

07/02/2008 | Outside of North America this is more like 5 stars, but I'll give a nod to the nation hosting RIA and make it 3.
Spain hadn't won a major championship in 44 years, and were classic underachievers for most of that time.
In Euro 2008, they not only bested Italy, their long time nemesis in the semi-final, but scored early and hung on to beat a favored German team for the championship.
