In the 80's it was Allowed with parental consent and I got Paddled a few times. By the 90's however, this was had been Forbidden.

just once in kindergarten. I tended to not pay attention to the teacher. sending me to the cloak room did not work I guess so once she took me in the hall and gave me a few swats. this was back in the earlier 60s a teacher could swat a kid back then. over the next 13 Years i never got a swat again so guess it worked.

Surprisingly, no. But I got whaled across the knuckles with a blackboard pointer a couple of times by a ex-Auschwitz guard masquerading as a teacher.
