this show is really stupid

Smurfs are great!

I'm actually going to go against the rabble and state that these trippy little bastards were cool by me. Hey, have any of you seen "Donnie Darko?" He goes on a fun rant about the Smurfs...

All these cartoons were things I saw only occasionally, given my age at the time, so I didn't see them with a kid's eyes.

This one struck me as particularly weird, with the village full of Smurfs, one female (Smurfette) and an elderly one (Papa Smurf).  Which raised two questions, the first being one about the Smurf reproductive process.  I wonder if Papa and Smurfette are the only fertile Smurfs, and she operates similar to a termite queen, laying thousands of eggs after being impregnated.

The second question, if the first is not the case, is how Smurfette, as the only female in a large community of males, had time to do anything, or why she didn't have a mattress strapped to her back.

It was OK but after I heard that there is a movie being made I got a little weirded out.

Ah, the Smurfs. If this isn't a cult classic, I don't know what is. This was very popular among all ages, but especially within the drug cultures (for what should be obvious reasons).
