Not by choice, but I did work at an arena when Kiss had a show.

I confess. I was a teenage metalhead, and I saw em in the mid 70s. I haven't been able to listen to them in over 25 years, but I remember enjoying the show in my early teens. At least it wasn't Shaun Cassidy !

Never been, never planned on going, never bought any of their records, and I think I can name two or three songs, 'Detroit Rock City', 'I Was Made for Loving You' a hilarious stab at disco and 'Beth'. I think there was one with 'Saturday Night' or 'Rock and Roll All Night' in the title too. I thought they were a ridiculous spectacle in the 70's. A cheap bubblegum cartoon rip-off of Queen, Bowie and Zepplin rolled into one. Anyway, I have a good friend who is my main partner for going to rowdy concerts that my wife or kids wouldn't be interested in. He and I saw The Hold Steady last week. On the way to the Hold Steady show he told me he had a spare ticket to the upcoming Kiss concert. I looked puzzled and said "Really?" He told me that when he was a teen he was in a Kiss tribute band. Ya think you know a guy. We've been friends for 15 years and I knew he had been a musician but I had no idea.Long story, but I'm going to a Kiss concert in November. If only so that Dave has someone to drive him home. I'll report back.

They came on with a bang and promised a show to remember and that is what they gave us. We had Gene fire breathing and blood spitting to paul flying through the air. Hard to believe they are 60 yrs old and still going strong. The show started at 850 pm and ended at 1120. Eric Singer now the drummer gave one of the best drum solos ever, Tommy the lead guitarist also have a very good solo. I am so glad we took our kids last night. go see it you wont regret it.

At the Hartford Civic Center in 1996 on one of their reunion tours. It was a Christmas gift, I dodged the bullet and enjoyed myself. Their music is so-so but they are fun in concert. I remember they were wearing makeup, and someone flew across the audience on cables, may have been Paul Stanley but i think it was Gene Simmons.
