No, but I've been to Poland and East Berlin when the Iron Curtain was still up.

East Berlin was like Dayton with better manners. In Poland, pretty much all I saw was Auschwitz, which tends to colour ones impressions.

I was in Russia one time, and it was one of my bests travels. I enjoyed so much all things I saw and all visits I did. The best for me, the Ermitage.
