Naslund -> New York Rangers

Well well, I guess I can't say I was surprised at all when Naslund ended up with the Rangers. He was just the right style for the team - proven players who might have some years left in them to prove themselves still useful, at least in terms of the ticket sales in New York. The departure of Jagr and Straka left a big hole in the team to be filled, but I doubt Naslund is the right guy for them to go to. As much as I hope he'll do well with the team but I start to wonder that he would only play well with some close buddy of his like Bert. In either case, Rangers is the team that has proven itself to look good only on the paper but in reality, it can only take on teams that have absolutely no offensive power like the Devils in the past 2 years. It is my prediction that it will just be another same old year for the Rangers.

Who knows?

The last few seasons Naslund has been one of the great enigmas among front line players. While its clear age has diminished his skills, it has seemed to me that there is something missing emotionally in Naslund since the lockout season.

Maybe a change of scenary will reawaken him, but if I was a betting guy, and I am, I wouldn't count on it.
