In the sense that evil is everywhere; sure and I don't think it's anything that can be avoided really. I know my church is full of human beings with human failings because I'm one of them. But the fact that we show up is proof that most are at least trying to move in a positive direction. We will fail many times - but we will also grow. Yeah, Satan may be there in spirit but you know, I'll bet he spends a lot of time being pretty PO'd.

Neither do some of the crackpots here who after about 1,000 quotes from a short book of the Old Testament conclude their essays by quoting something that purportedly proves that anyone who heard someone else say the word fart on November 12, 1979 is going to hell.

That could be very possible. One of the reasons  I don't attend church is because I believe there is so much hypocrisy there.
