07/28/2008 | I was kind of underwhelmed by Gyllenhaal's performance in this film. In some scenes, she really seemed to be phoning it in. On the other hand, she was at times convincing in an understated way.

07/24/2008 | While Gyllenhaal is a better actress and brings more depth to the character than Katie Holmes, she does not seem to fit into the movie. I could think of better actresses more suited to the roll.

07/24/2008 | I don't think the way Rachel Dawes' character was written would have allowed Maggie Gyllenhaal to do much more with the role than she did. She played the part she was given very well, but I felt that her behavior towards Dent and Wayne didn't always parallel the plot. I think this is less the fault of Gyllenhaal than the screenplay, however, since I've seen her in a number of other films and she's usually stellar as a lead actress. Maybe she doesn't translate well to supporting roles.

07/20/2008 | lets see..Rachel..i didn't know much about this character honestly to begin with in the batman series only that she was once Bruce Wayne's lover now engaged to Harvy Dent AKA Two-Face. She is an okay character or sorts, and she captured my sympathy in her death so i give maggie a rating of 90/100
