It would be a pretty weird place without them. 

I assume its a simple oversight that the list item "Men" isn't included.

Well, you gotta judge it on an individual basis, because I've met some people who are completely useless that happen to be female. For the sake of making the point, I state the obvious: Generally speaking, in terms of the item in question, the subject (women) is necessary for the continuation of the topic (society), therefore defining it has "helpful" as opposed to "harmful".

Contrary to what they believe in SF...it would be kind of difficult to have a society without them.

Biologically necessary and emotionally comforting on most days.  And they are certainly the more attractive of the species.

I really like women-that's an easy one.

They gave birth to us, where would we be without them?

Like men, some women are socially helpful and some are detrimental.

Women are 50% of society.

We are helpful to society because without us the planet would be bare and unoccupied.

I won't comment on their effect on society, but I've always found that women are very helpful to me.

Hmm... they are needed for breeding purposes even by closed minded idiots that oppress women. All in all I'm a fan of women, even the powerful ones. Scratch that, especially the powerful ones.
