Um, no. At least it's one step up from "stalkers", but still creepy.

No thanks, it has cult and sycophantic connotations, and will do wonders for any egomaniacs . How about "People that I have miraculously and anachronistically failed to alienate" instead?

It's probably the most accurate on the list considering the 'add' button asks if you want to "follow" someone using your trusted network. I suppose it's a slightly more polite way of saying 'stalkers', at worst...However, as with 'git, the cult connotations put me off somewhat.

I have mixed feelings on this one. In the innocuous meeting of the word, "follow" makes a lot of sense, like I "follow" news in my city, or the career of an athlete, or an industry. In this meaning, follow means "casually keep up with," which I think is pretty accurate in regards to someone's reviews. But "follow" also has a drone / cult / zombie connotation. I'm not quite as enthusiasit about this aspect.

Mama always warned me not to be a follower, and to think for myself.

This one scares me. I won't admit to be the "follower" of anything just to stay clear of sounding cult-like or religious.

Followers has an extremely negative connotation in my mind. It has a submissive tone, and I certainly don't plan on being submissive to anybody I come across here at Rateitall.
