I'm with zuchinibut on this one, very nostalgic, but not in a charming way since the service it reminds me of persists in practically an unchanged state, frozen in time, never to adapt (except by adding advertisements).

This takes me back down memory lane when AIM was the hot new thing, and Myspace and Facebook weren't even thoughts in anybody's mind yet.

Many Internet sharing sites and forums use this term for people who have formed their own little networks of members who have "taken to them". Seems a bit overworked, but not all that bad.
