On 3 different occasions, John McCain confused Shia and Sunni, suggesting that it was Iran training Al Quaida. Iran is Shiite. Al Quaida is Sunni. In the most awkward instance, buddy Joe Lieberman whispered in McCain's ear, and he made the correction with cameras rolling. Foreign affairs, we are told incessantly, is McCain's strong suit.
