 Ethnicity should never be a reason to vote or not vote for an individual. I think its great to see that our country is willing to elect a person who doens't fit the male, WASP demographic, but Obama should be getting votes for his character and his stance on current issues rather than his cultural identification.

The only thing that matters is qualifications. Not skin color.

I'm kind of shocked that nobody has added 'Muslim' to the title of this listing- rampant , blatant Negrophobia from some people is one of the more sickening and ultimately cowardly aspects of this site.

On its own, its not a reason to vote for him.  But I notice that for some people, including some here on RIA, it is a reason to vote against him.

Unfortunately, this is the main reason why he even got the nomination.

I know it's unpopular to those who think we should be color blind, but the fact is, we are not. Electing a black president will represent a pivotal moment. An affirmation that we do actually aspire to equality.
