He will help the working class etc 4

Well, anybody that works for a living and earns a wage or salary is working class. I suppose it depends a lot on the cultural and regional interpretations of the term "working class." He will help some, that's for certain. It's rather ambiguous. I'm not a soothsayer, so I can't rightfully say what he will and won't do as president. The past is not always prologue folks.

Doubt it.

79% of the American public are putting their aspirations on Obama according to a recent poll.  They are expecting that he will absolve them of all their debt and financial problems.  Obama is not a miracle worker and there's no immediate solution to this economic problem, which is largely debt-related, as will become increasingly evident in the next few years.

Obama's proposals to assist middle and lower income earners, particularly those who have lost their jobs centers on a proposal to spend $500 billion on an infrastructure bill that he expects will produce up to 2.5 million new jobs.  There's a problem with this though:  3.5 million new workers are expected to enter the work force in the next few years.  In addition, due to diminished returns from 401-K's and other retirement programs, many workers on the brink of retirement will likely continue to work, thus those positions won't be opened up for younger workers looking to move up the ranks.   So what we're seeing here is a domino effect.  Young workers will likely have a harder time getting their foot through the door due to a combination of factors, including a weakening economy and lack of positions available.  It's not a good time to be a new college graduate.  Then you also have increased layoff's, as companies either shed their payrolls or go under completely.  Unemployment will only continue to increase through the next year.  Will Obama's program even be enough to deal with such high unemployment?  He may need to revisit his jobs proposal.

Former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill estimated that Obama will spend up to $200,000 for each new job created under his new stimulus program.   That doesn't strike me as the most efficient way to use the taxpayers money.  Instead that money should be spent on public works programs that are labor intensive and relatively cheaper to undertake.  Urban renewal projects for example might qualify well under this.  These projects will help put people to work and it will help in improving the quality of life in the cities.  property values will go up and the government's tax base will be expanded in the process.

The government should make key investments in capital projects, but it must do so smartly.  I'm not too sure that Obama is doing this.

Yeah...."the working class". I'm sure lower to middle income people will find it helpful to receive a $300.00 check in the mail, then have their taxes raised, lose their jobs, and pay 10 cents a gallon more for gasoline.

Great.  Another disingenuous list about Obama?

America's working class has seen a decline in real wages since the 1970s.
