A man who spends more time writing his memoirs than public policy, who requested nearly a million dollars a day in pork, who sat in a racist church (perhaps shaking hands with Oprah who was there in the late 80's and early 90's when he was), who dealt with the felon Rezko, who had a relationship of any sort with a domestic terrorist, who would undermine his own President by going behind his back to hold talks with Iraqi's and attempt to encourage them to go against what the President was saying, who has members of his political team attend questionable rallies... my goodness. What's there to trust?

I trust him to totally screw us.

This one has GOT to be a joke!

Speaking as someone who worked in politics for many years, most politicians are trustworthy within the limits of expedience. This is a neutral reason.

Time (and evidence) is proving Obama very untrustworthy. He can do much damage to the US.
EschewObfuscat ion 07/31/2008
Right. Trust him to fall back on the "poor, black me" syndrome whenever he is embarrassed or contradicted, which will not happen to him until after the election, if the US press is true to form. I would trust him to govern like the left-wing goosestepper he has been in the Senate. Other than that, there is no indication he is trustworthy, only slick.

McSame is trustworthy in that it will be like having George Bush for 3 terms instead of 2. Other than that rational, intelligent people will vote for Obama, Hillary Clinton, Fred Flinstone, Sandy Koufax, Charles Manson or anyone else that is not going to continue Bush's America killing policies.
scarletfeather 07/31/2008
I trust him more than I trust McCain. At least I know Obama does not want to continue Bush's policies.
fitman 07/31/2008
One thing's absolutely for sure:
We can trust McSAME to continue the failed policies of the Bush administration.
UPDATE:
As others pointed out before me, trustworthy politicians are a rare breed indeed. Perhaps I shouldn't have assumed the subject was the relative trustworthiness of the two major party candidates, but I based my transgression on the fact that this entire list is obviously an attempt to bolster the chances of one of those candidates.
Now that I'm aware of my crime, let me just say that I've seen no evidence that convinces me that Obama is any less trustworthy than his opponent. Hope that opinion is acceptable.

I'm with Numbah: Politicians = Trustworthy...HUH? A trustworthy politician is an oxymoron if there was ever any. And this does not only apply to Barack Obama, but politicians in general.
Astromike 07/31/2008
He lost my trust when he said
"Reverend Wright is not the man I thought I knew"
Give me a break. He (Obama) was part of the freakin' congregation for 20 years lol. Sure he didnt know.
numbah16tdhaha 07/31/2008
Wait, chew on these words for a moment: Trustworthy Politician Riiiiiiight...
