I know someone who used to eat almonds every day, in a controlled amount, of course. He used them almost like a supplement. I tried this for a little while, but just got out of the habit.

Almonds are an excellent food, high in fiber, vitamins and healthy fats. If eaten raw, they are more nutritious than processed almonds but are more difficult to digest and lack the flavor of roasted almonds. Roasting almonds breaks down the enzyme inhibitors that make them difficult to digest but destroys some of the nutritional value in the process. Sprouted almonds, however, are the best of both worlds. Soaked in water until the nut just begins to germinate and then dried, sprouted almonds are crunch, flavorful and retain all of the nutritional value of raw almond, but the sprouting process eliminates the enzyme inhibitors making them a great choice for people who have trouble eating raw almonds. Great on salads, as a snack, there are countless ways to add almonds to your diet.
