I was introduced to quinoa by my wife's cousin who follows a gluten-free diet. My wife has made this a staple of our diet, and it is really quite good. On its own it isn't anything special, but it mixes well with other ingredients to make a healthy meal. I think its a good alternative to pasta, in dishes similar to pasta salads.
