My doctor recommended that I take Fish Oil for the Omega 3. The enteric coated pills are the only way to go. Recently, I received a recommendation to take Krill Oil instead of regular Fish Oil The Krill Oil is supposed to provide Omega 6 as well as Omega 3 and is supposed to be more bioavailable than Fish Oil. In addition, Krill is supposed to be the most abundant and rapidly renewable sources of marine antioxidants.

I take Omega 3 fish oil supplements, 1200 milligrams. The reason I take these is because I can't stand fish, but yet I know that it is something everybody needs in their diet. These ones are enteric coated, so there is no fishy aftertaste. And they don't come back up, either.

When I was a kid, my mother used to force me to take this stuff by the tea spoon. And I mean force... Had to hold my nose so I'd open my mouth. I don't recall anything tasting as bad. In capsule form its not so bad, and yes it has some health benefits, but can surprise you with a nasty aftertaste later in the day.
