The Pineapple Express 4

I'm not a weed smoker, but I can enjoy a weed movie every now and again. The Pineapple Express had plenty of genuinely funny moments, usually in the form of random lines from a plethora of characters. James Franco was great as the stoner-dealer. Seth Rogen had some good lines at times, but there were some parts of the movie where I just felt his character was yelling without doing anything humorous. He isn't great with the physical comedy. The supporting cast was pretty good for a comedy, and I especially liked Ed Begley Jr's brief part as the crazy, protective father. For the type of movie it was, it just seemed to drag on way too long. The scenes at the end were good, over the top comedy, but it seemed like the middle of the movie could have been condensed. It was stil a funny comedy, but not to the level of some of the other Judd Apatow movies from the past few years.
