Issac Hayes was quite an amazing musician and performer. Unfortunately soul music was drowned out by Disco and then rap/hip hop. Going to miss Isaac and his voice of Chef on South Park. He was also great as Jim Rockford's ex-con tough guy "Gandolf Fitch" on the Rockford Files tv show.

I don't watch much TV, so I think of him for his music rather than his appearances on South Park.

His music was fine, as far as it went, but it was more sizzle than steak in my opinion.

Although I was a little ticked off at him for leaving South Park, I must judge him on other merits. He was responsible for the theme th Shaft and helped usher in Disco music. He was a great musician and very funny as Chef of course. Bur C'mon, who really does take that Scientology stuff seriuosly?

He was the man that would risk his neck for his brotha' man 'Shaft' your damn right! I Miss You Isaac Hayes, and so glad I had a chance to meet you in person.

These things happen in threes, so I wonder if another black entertainer will bite the dust after the recent passing of Bernie Mac and now Isaac Hayes. Hayes was before my time with his music, but I know his voice well from South Park. I guess he will always live on through Chef for me.
