A great Cold War spy mini series that was very well done. Probably too intelligent for modern audiences but could be shown on cable somewhere. Very subtle and well written. Sorry action junkies, I don't think it was anything like a James Bond film.

Just a touch less excellent than "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" this dramatization of Le Carre's third book in the "Quest for Karla" trilogy, is very solid.  Guinness reprises his excellent performance as the worldly, cynical Smiley is fantastic, and the rest of he cast is great.

Scripted, shot and acted with craftsmanlike precision, and a thoughtful and intelligent film
