Witty, frequently hilarious dramatization of Tom Sharpe's comedic novel about a less than academic English college at a fictional English University called Oxbridge (filling in for Cambridge and Oxford)Fine casting, particularly David Jason from the Touch of Frost police series as Skullion and a marvellously understated performance by Ian Richardson as Sir Godber Evans. The supporting cast is excellent, and the script is solid and intelligent. Not something that will appeal to the kind of viewer who thinks British comedy begins and ends with Benny Hill or On the Buses, but for the more discerning viewer its excellent.
