Well, I've been away from RIA for a long while, so the new logo caught me by surprise.  Umm . . . well . . it's definitely very "optimistic" looking, I guess.  I kinda liked the more "mature" previous logo ( . . . this new one's got almost a "Rainbow Brite" kinda vibe, to be completely honest . . . sorry, Lawrence . . . . ).  

But, hey, I'm not here for the logo.

I'll give it a "5" as part of Magellan's over-all plan to grow RIA. I think that Magellan made a sound fundamental business decision with the site. The rule is that if you can't create your own momentum, or in the case of RIA, haven't achieved the momentum that you desire, you find someone who does and hitch your caboose to them, as was done with FB and MS. The site was not unlike a mall with great stores, but was a little run-down. With all of the new people coming in to shop and pitch their dimes and nickles, Magellan had to make his site more appealing to the market he was trying to attract. He did a great job with it.

I like the addition of the exclamation point, which seems to jump out at whoever is looking. And seeing as how we rate with star ratings, I think the stars are very fitting.

Plus, login/logout is a lot more convenient to access, being on the right hand side instead of the left.

I have to say I enjoy the new RIA logo. Today was the first time I've seen it (yes, I've been MIA for a few weeks - how new is this??). It's...cute. I think it is a little more visually appealing, and it does make sense since we give ratings based on stars. However, it's a bit more cartoonish than the old one - not that that's a bad thing at all, but make of it what you will.

I personally like the change. There have been other times when the visual format changed at RIA that I didn't care for it. However, the new logo was instantly easier on the eyes for me.

While I do like the stars giving an good fit to the site, I think that it lost a little bit of visual interest.  There is now less contrast in the logo, and it blends in more-could be good could be bad.  It has been growing on me a little bit in the past few days, but I still think I like the old one a bit better.

Cool design! I like how the stars evoke rating stuff right away.

I think the logo reflects where the site is going, and who the site is going after.

I think the new logo looks much more appealing, and will be more
user friendly. And for that, I give it a five!

It's weird to hit RIA and see something different, but I really like the new logo.  I find it peppy, cheerful, scrappy, and it vaguely reminds me of the shape of the Audi TT (I have no idea why).

Personally, I don't really care one way or the other. That being said, it looks kind of like something in the ending credits for a 1975 cartoon, like one of the Superfriends should be holding it up. It gives a kind of Up with People or One To Grow On kind of feeling...too cheery looking, too positive public service announcement looking, like underneath it there should be a link to a video : " This is Ridgewalker. Hey kids, we all know smoking and drinking just can't compete with the feeling of eating berries and feelin' that old friend the sun at your back as you hike through Naturey Valley... or, if you clicked on the logo, some of the more sanctimonious and insufferable, kooky far right wing people on here would fake a smile, then say Hey kids don't forget to eat your vitamins , say your prayers, and send a check to Bob Jones U...

It`s ok.  Personally, I liked the old one better.

Disclaimer: Over 95% of the time, whenever any product changes their logo, I dislike the new one and wish they'd go back to the old one. I apparently dislike change.

I don't know, I just don't like it. The old log had a sharpness that I kind of liked. The curving stars is sort of retro, which I'm not a big fan of.

I like it.  Its more eye catching.
