I have a medium to long-hair Maine Coon cat who was suffering from hairballs every week, he hates grooming plus grooming him is hard since he has an undercoat and sheds like crazy. Tried many different brushes, shampoos, but non worked as well as this. This thing works great and he actually enjoys it, grooming sessions have now become a great bonding time for us! It is a little expensive but it's worth it, there are a few other brands that do not cost as much and these work well too. TIP: it took a few sessions to figure out how to use the tool, I found that the instructions that came with it were wrong, I guess it will depend on your pet and his temperament. The method that has worked best for us is to start slow with very little "pulling", and once your pet has settled in and is calm (this is very relaxing for them), angle the tool down more so that it starts to pull a little and continue like that from head to end of the tail. Also, don't expect to get all the hair in one try, or... Read more

I have two large cats with seemingly short yet very thick and dense hair. I have tried many other cat combs coupled with bathing them regularly and they still shed like mad throughout my house all year long. That is until I discovered this tool. It's amazing! The first time I used it I had enough fur to make a large body pillow. Over time I began seeing less and less hair during their "Furminator" combing sessions. If you can keep up with the cycle of brushing your cat weekly or biweekly, you should be able to notice amazing results. The only downside I can see this comb having is that fur flies everywhere. This is why I recommend using this brush outside when brushing your cats if you have indoor cats. Even brushing them outside can be a nuisance at times when the wind picks up speed! I use a lint roller to pick up excess pieces of hair on their coats and myself, of course. However, I do not feel as though this product deserves anything less than a five star rating simply b... Bought this on ebay for $35. I've used the store bought brushes of all kinds on my cat, but hardly got any hair out of him. Used this last night and immediately saw results. I pulled so much hair from my cat. I did notice some dandruff afterward, but not a big deal. I highly recommend this product!

I debated for quite awhile before buying this because of the price but finally decided to try it. It really does an amazing job of removing fur, much much more than any other brush I've tried. I can't say if it really cuts down on shedding as much as it claims as I haven't owned it long enough to know at this point. I gave it 4 stars only because I feel it is overpriced, but it is a wonderful product.

I love the FURminator! My cat has major problems with hairballs, and this tool is unbelievable. For years, I was using a regular comb and now I realize that I wasn't getting any hair off of her. The first time I used it on her, I could not believe the pile of hair. Now I notice that when I pet her, there isn't any loose hair coming off, and the hairballs aren't as bad. I would recommend this to anyone that has a dog or cat, it is the greatest invention ever!

My Furminator just arrived and I couldn't be happier with it. Beware, this product makes cats multiply. The first time I used it the ball of fur I got was bigger than the cat itself. My cat's coat was also noticeably softer. Great buy.

Wow does this thing ever work! All you have to do is brush very lightly and piles of undercoat come out. Amazing.

My cat has long hair and a really thick coat. In the past, no matter how often I would brush her, she would keep shedding...ALOT! Now, I just brush her once every week (because she LOVES it) and there is no shedding. The amount of hair I get off her each time is Unbelievable! It actually takes the hair from underneath, getting rid of dander and old hair. It was the best investment ever and I've already recommended it to all my friends, who then went and purchased it!
