Whistler XTR-140 Radar/Laser Detector

Outstanding! Detects everything you can imagine without a lot of annoying false returns. This device is small enough to do it's job without obstructing your vision of the road which is a major plus. I haven't had a ticket in a long time so for me it has been well worth the money. Definitely a product I would recommend if you are looking for a reliable and affordable radar detector.

I have always used Whistler products and have never been let down by them. The XTR-140 adds blue flashing LED lights for added warning and they work very well. I have one of these in my car and I bought one for my father as well. A really great product!

Our kids got this for my husband for father's day. He loves it. We laughed the other day, we had set the radar detector on the floor when we made a stop and forgot to put it back on the windshield. It detected radar from the floor, we were amazed! We would recommend this to anyone, great price

Perfomance is on par with my cheap Cobra, and the alerts are less annoying. It is particularly nice to have multiple city modes with the ability to disable X-band entirely. The Blue LED "periscope" indicators really catch the corner of your eye, but become annoying with prolonged indications, such as when a patrol car is directly in front of you. This unit also lacks a DIM/Night Mode. The display is clear and informative, but looks very cheap, especially compared to the Cobra in the same price range. The mount is sturdy, but the suction cups are small and I don't expect them to last long. This one does detect other detectors nearby, which increases the false positives. A great value, just don't expect flawless detection or lots of features.
