This stuff is excellent at what it does. We use this at work (groomers) and I also use it on my moms shelties when their coats change in spring and fall. It also smells great, not like some of those chemical shampoos. If your dog sheds, try it just once, you won't be disappointed. Just to make a point though, if your dog sheds excessively you should look into their diet. Poor diets will affect their coats negatively. Also try adding salmon oil found at some vets and also many pet stores. It's expensive but it really helps improve coat.

Furminator is excellent. Smell is wonderful. It is quite concentrated. You can dilute it and realy need to to get a good lather and get the product down to the skin. It does work quite well, though you will get the best results with continued maintence. Use every 6-8 weeks. Brush the dog first, going over the coat with a rake brush, shedding blade, regular brush, etc as your dog's coat requires. This shampoo works best with very warm/safely hot water. Masage in all over the coat making sure it goes down to the skin. Let sit @ 10 minutes. After rinsing out, it's best to dry the dog with a high velocity dryer. The hair will fly. The dog's coat will blow out much faster and easier after using this shampoo over a regular one. After drying go over the coat with the Furminator brush - which is not for daily brushing. This shampoo does not stop shedding or prevent it. Nothing does that. But it will reduce it a good 80-90 percent and make double coated dogs much easier to live with..especaily come spring time when their coats start to blow. It is not a one time fix it thing. To keep results you have to maintain.

I have been using FURminator on my dog for a while. The Brush works very well for his under coat. The shampoo is good although I can't proof that the shampoo really helps him shed less. Sure thing is - it smells very good.

I've only used the product once so far. Puppie's skin less dry; in combo with furminator brush we appear to be making headway in the shedding department.

I use this along with the solution which is sort of the dog-equivalent of conditioner, and I love it. I have two pugs, who shed endlessly, and I would venture to say that the two products (and I also use the Furminator comb instead of a regular brush) cuts the amount of shed hair blowing around my floors and furniture in half or less. I don't beleive anything completely stops shedding, but this helps tremendously.

I got this for a friend with three cats and a new addition to the family. Cat hair was becoming an issue. I have heard nothing but good things so far.

It seems that the cost of the furminator products are expensive, but I was paying $55, per dog, to have a de-shedding done and this product, as well as the furminator tool and the other products to bath your dog before using this tool, have saved me a ton of money. I was shocked at the amount of fur that came off of my dogs. I would recommend this to anyone.
