I am about to go and trade in for the 3rd time....same problem with all previous same brewers from these same folks; comes a point where brewing stops before water is emptied out of the tank. The company tells me unplugging the machine will fix the problem? What a joke.Good concept in a coffee maker...but bad engineering~~Very bad~~

We have owned this coffee maker for a total of 3 years... unfortunately it's been combined owning 2 machines! The first one we had worked great for about 2 years, then all of the sudden, just stopped brewing. I called Cuisinart and luckily still had my original receipt and was able to get it replaced. I was told I needed to unplug the unit at least once a month to 'reset' the timer in it. What kind of excuse is that??? Why should you have to unplug your coffee maker every month in order for it to work correctly? Unfortunately, the replacement machine has not even lasted as long as the first one. This one stopped brewing like the first one did, but also will not brew when set for automatic brew. The lights all come on, but nothing happens! I have been etremely disappointed with this product. I will never again buy a Cuisinart anything. I thought Cuisinart made quality products, but I was proven wrong. I have a good friend who has had the same coffee maker for less than a year and is also experiencing the same problems as I am. I guess I should consider myself lucky that mine laster a bit longer! I love the concept of this coffee maker, it does brew (when it works) great hot coffee, and it keeps it fresh. But when you spend $100 on a coffee maker, you expect it to work longer than 2 years. I have had cheap $15 machines that lasted for 5+ years and with no problems! It's really too bad that this machine has the design flaws in it that it does. I believe it would have been a great machine had it worked correctly and the consumer would be allowed to get what you felt like was your money's worth out of it. I know there are many other machines out there that do cost well over the $100 I paid for this one, but to the every day coffee drinker this was on the expensive side to pay for a coffee maker. I WILL NOT recommend this coffee maker to anyone. I also WILL NOT buy any other Cuisinart coffee makers to replace it. Cuisinart really needs to pay attention to the reviews and make a better product!

I have owned mine for about a year and a half, and then one day the lights come on, but nothing brews. This is my second Cuisinart (first one the Grind N' Brew) coffee maker that just quit well before it should have. Anyone shopping for a coffee maker, steer clear of this "well reputable" brand. Their coffee makers are faulty, and if I bought a Mr. Coffee for $40, it would probably still be working.

We've had our On Demand for about a year and we still love it. Coffee is brewed very hot which seems to extract a better flavor. And it stays hot without a burnt taste you sometimes get with a glass carafe. LOVE IT!

The on / off switch in these coffee makers is faulty. When you switch it on the light comes on but the water stays in the resevoir and - no water - no coffee. So three months after purchase I was left with a broken coffee maker. After calling cuisinart I would never buy another cuisinart product. I told them the problem and that I knew it was a design flaw because thousands of other people reported the same problem online. She asked if it was less than 90 days since I bought it because if so under California law I could return it to the store !!!!!. I was disgusted simply because the store would then have to take the loss for what was a cuisinart design flaw. Cuisinart just wanted to pass the expense and the buck back to the store. After a long discussion she finally agreed to replace it and told me to return the unit in its box. ( Oh yes, if you buy this keep the original box sitting in your house waiting for it to break down because they insist on you returning it IN THE ORIGINAL BOX. ) I LOVE THE DESIGN , I LOVE THE CONCEPT, I HATE THE FACT IT DOESN'T WORK. SAVE YOURSELVES SOME TROUBLE AND BUY A DIFFERENT COMPANIES MODEL BECAUSE THIS ONE IS FLAWED

Ive only had this coffee maker for 7 months. I would have problems with the turn on knob. This morning it decided to not work at all. The light would come on but the water would not go through the piping. Something electrical I figure. And the help desk was not helpful. I wouldnt buy this product unless you want to waste your money...

Cuisinart DCC-2000 Coffee-on-Demand 12-cup Programmable Coffeemaker I love the concept of this coffee maker. But unfortunately I am on my second one in 1 1/2 years and it just quit as well. The first one quit after only 9 months. It was returned to Cuisinart and a replacement was sent. Now this one has quit as well. I own other Cuisinart products that I have had for years but I will not be buying another Cuisinart Coffee Maker. I was extremely disappointed.

Love our new coffeemaker. The coffee comes out extremely hot and there is no dirty pot to wash. The stainless and black design always looks clean.
