This is probably  Quayle's most famous blunder but I don't think its as embarrasing as some of his other goof ups (although that may be due to the fact that I don't have the best spelling skills either) but the media and the public blew him up for his incident. I'm sure this happening in an election year didn't make George Bush or anyone in the Bush administration or any Republicans happy either.
