Oh, that's right, experience DOESN'T matter. Just ideology. The fact that Palin is the ONLY candidate for president or VP who has ANY government executive experience, ought not even enter your mind. It's all about ideology. Do not attempt to say otherwise. "Waaahhh! Waaahh! Palin is inexperienced. Waaahh!
Right. Joe Biden, the gaffe machine is qualified to be VP, a heartbeat away from the General Secretary, er . . . I mean US President. Palin, of course, is not. Wilol the gaffes end, or at least slow down a bit, when he is VP? I didn't think so. Obama, with zero executive experience, except over crazy liberal wing-nut check cashing boards in the middle of the cesspool of Chicago politics, however, is eminently qualified. Oh wait, he has run a successful presidential campaign, out of his US Senate office, that's something. Right? Ah, America. How did he do redistributing wealth in Chicago all those years?

Yes, Palin has 16 years in elected offices. Whether these offices are enough experience to qualify her to be the vice president, I don't know. I still plan on voting for McCain and Palin for what it's worth.
What I really want to address here is a disturbing message that I seem to be getting from many of the reviews below. That message seems to be that unless you come from one of the more populous states (CA, NY, TX, IL, etc.) that you can never be qualified to be president. Everyone keeps saying things like, "Palin was only governor of Alaska". Well so what, she was still a governor of a U.S. state, and to me that carries as much weight as being the governor of California. Now if you want to argue that she hasn't even been a governor for two years, that seems to be an acceptable argument and it does bother me a bit. But for those who insist that holding an office in a less populated area makes you less qualified to hold office at the national level, I think you should stop and think, because it looks a lot like discrimination to me.

Yo Moose....how much executive experience does Obama have? Oh, that's right...you do not answer questions.
Update: Now there is a valid comparison- teacher to Governor of a state...LMAO! Palin is qualified to be VP or President, she is just not qualified to be a left-wing extremist. No wonder some of you guys hate her.

My son's fifth grade teacher had 31 years of teaching experience, but I wouldn't say she was ready to teach at Harvard.

Four years as a mere council person in Walrusfart, population 6,000. Eight years as Mayor of that one-igloo town. Twenty months as the undistinguished Governor of The Moocher State. Big deal. She's barely qualified to be the Congresswoman of that dreadful state, let alone a heartbeat away from being the leader of the Free World. She never had a constituency of more than perhaps 660,000 people. That's small time, folks...
irishgit 10/13/2008
Sure, but its pretty hard to get excited about most years of it, serving as a city councillor and mayor of a small town. Besides, experience in presidents is no guarantee of competence. Buchanan and Johnson were among the most experienced of candidates and among the worst presidents. Lincoln and Madison were among the least experienced and among the best.

How many years does Obama have? Exactly!
frenchiefastwa ves 09/06/2008
Who cares about what happened after she got elected up there deep deep in frostbite country...We haven't heard of anything worth mentioning...Everything you need to know about Alaska happens on "Deadliest catch".... So she ended beating her smartest opponent in 2006 to become governor of the most isolated state ever...I have to admit, it seems like a big deal... If you're really high!
TRUNCH253 09/06/2008
She deserves the BIG HOUSE, not the WHITE HOUSE.
LadyJesusFan77 7 09/04/2008
That still doesn't mean she's qualified to be vice president. If McCain gets in, and something happens to him, she would be president. Would she be ready?
numbah16tdhaha 09/04/2008
Ah, smell the partisanship. I find it funny that she's the only one with Executive experience, however limited that may be. Not even McCain can say that... UPDATE: Double standard? Where!?!?!? I don't see it in my review, at least.
Strijdom 09/03/2008
Nevertheless, far more experience AND executive experience than Barack Obama. That Dems attack her for lack of qualification is perhaps one of their more egregious examples of hypocrisy.
Molfan 09/02/2008
I never heard of her until last week. Governor since last year. mayor of a small town for a few years is okay I guess. as for member of the PTA that does not impress me one iota. i hope she is not like the PTA parents in Michigan that would not get a vote from me. and soccer mom? whoopee! otherwise I would still be willing to read more about her to see where her stands are like any other politician.
Automatt 09/02/2008
Yes, being on the PTA for some tiny mosquito village in Alaska certainly qualifies her to be president of the United States.
abichara 08/30/2008
Well, yes, she has been in elected office, but she spent a few years as the mayor of a small town in Alaska, a member of the city council and the local PTA before rising to Governor of the state last year! Her total experience in office, at least the depth of experience in terms of the issues she dealt with in those positions are, I'm sorry to say, extremely light. If she was the mayor of a major city, a case could be fairly made that she's dealt with tough issues and complex political constituencies. But she certainly hasn't done that as mayor of tiny Wasilla, Alaska.
lmorovan 08/30/2008
The interesting and important part of this, is that she has been working in elected offices from the "bottom" up, which gives her a better perspective of the issues that are not necessarily taken into consideration by Washington because of their minimal political effect. Sarah Palin has a better knowledge and understanding of the foundations of our institutions, from city councils and boards of educations up. A good sign that she is well prepared to help and rebuild the basic institutional foundations of our nation. Another BIG plus for her and the Republicans.

I'll bet there are lots of little Ahmadinejads at those PTA meetings. So she's, like, totally prepared.
heartky 08/30/2008
16 years of minor small town stuff but only 18 months as Governor of a state where inhabitants collect annual oil royalties averaging $1500 a person. That plus her son joined the army. Certainly qualifies her to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency
Wiseguy 08/30/2008
I believe she could step in as President if needed. She's smart and would consider advice from advisers as any President would.
