Only a complete imbecile actually gives this cow's intellect any credit. I'd go through anecdotes and evidence, but enough of you have 'faith'. . .right? She didn't know Africa was a continent and not a country, kids [which is either true or more evidence of the fraudulent mouthpiece that is Fox News] a f#cking 'tard of the highest order at the very, very least or a classic Affirmative-Action pick of the lowest order. "Give 'em dat bitch wit' tits and dey wil vote fur her!"

Intelligent? This dimbulb can't even put together a simple sentence without falling all over herself. This is why she has to be so heavily scripted in her public appearances. She also a very clumsy thief, as evidenced by the $17,000 and $21,000 thefts of the taxpayers' money she committed for unwarranted per diem and travel expenses, and then failed to report them as income to the IRS and on other paperwork. These are the types of moves favored by fellow Moocher State grafter "Uncle Ted" Stevens, that felon. "Uncle Turd" is more like it. She also, as Mayor of Walrusfart, she had work crews commence construction of a recreational center on land that was not owned by the town, and the upshot was the taxpayers getting soaked to the tune of $1.5 million for the project to be finished. Furthermore, she threw something like $350 million in development money at Transcanada for a natural gas pipeline without extracting guarantees that the project would ever be built. Yeah, she's a real rocket scientist, all right.

I believe that Gov. Palin is very Intelligent. Intelligence is something that is always held, in my honest opinion, something that is always improved upon. It seems to me that Gov. Palin not only excerts her intelligence but she also understands that there is always room for improvement and she accepts that. That truly shows her intellect.

Yes, Sarah Palin is very smart and that is why those in the left leaning media hurried so quick to try and put a stop to her, with their negative propaganda. She is a threat to the liberals.

Lorne Michaels and Alec Baldwin agree

Kind of on the fence....she has that Alan Thicke thermos that she's always lugging around.
toughlove 10/28/2008
If Sarah can pronounce "nuclear" instead of saying "nucular", I suppose we can grade her intelligence on the curve. Maybe the fancy wardrobe will help.

You have got to be kidding
Automatt 10/10/2008
That's why the campaign won't let her talk to the press... It's because of how intelligent she is.

Look, it's not that Palin lacks intelligence in a raw sense, it's that she lacks the knowledge and experience to serve as Vice President or President. That much she demonstrated in the debates and interviews she's conducted thus far. She does have some natural political talent, but that alone does not qualify you to be President. My town's mayor has political talent too, is he qualified to be President? I don't think so. Indeed, the more I follow politics, the more I really do believe that experience matters--it's important to have a set of experiences and knowledge from which you can draw upon on the spot when you're making a decision at such a high level. That's especially important with regards to foreign affairs, an area where Palin is especially weak. Once you're in office there's no time to think about the decisions you have to make. Good executives think on their feet and are good at negotiating through tough political environments. In such situations, there's no room for being a "trainee" on the job.

I don't know how intelligent Sarah Palin is;as Irishgit stated, her intelligence is not an issue. What concerns me is her lack of qualifications and experience for the vice presidency. Although normally these factors would be unimportant, it does concern me that someone so clueless could be only a heartbeat away from the presidency.

Smart enough to boot out the alaskan public safety commissioner who wouldn't fire her sister's evil ex-husband from the state troopers.

The lesson today boys and girls will focus on how a President (and vice President) make a decision. The chief executives have what is called a Cabinet. The Cabinet is big! There are 15 executive departments. The President also has what is called a White House Counsel. The functions of the counsel are broad, they basically tell the President what he can and can't do on certain matters. Discussions and briefings happen on a daily basis with a group of Special Advisers. Diplomacy is another important aspect of an administration, diplomats help in this area. Republican diplomacy is different from Democrat diplomacy, each think theirs is better. If a President thinks diplomacy is not working, then they must decide whether to take a different coarse of action. In many cases the Congress has to give approval for this action. Whats that Johnny? The Congress sucks right now? Very good! Heres a gold star. For tomorrows lesson, I'll explain a word called "Partisanship", and what better place to begin than Rateitall.com.

very smart has all the tools she needs for the job

I am not going to question her intelligence, but I will say this from what I have seen from all the news coverage she has been getting. She is not Vice President material, and certainly not qualified to be President.

I doubt that there are very many of us R.I.A. members who have any idea how intelligent she is. Because Dan Quayle was nominated as VP didn't make him bright. I can think of quite a few politicians who aren't as sharp as many of the others. Unless one could see Anchorage news day-in, and day-out, we don't know.
Donovan 08/30/2008
She would not be where she is today if she was not intelligent. Don't be fooled by the "you-tube" videos that use clips out of context to belittle her.
irishgit 08/30/2008
Quite possibly. I don't think any of the four presidential and vice presidential candidates are stupid.
I don't see Palin's intelligence as particularly important, any more than Biden's, McCain's or Obama's
In my experience working in politics, intelligence is an over-rated commodity in candidates and politicians anyway. Arguably the two smartest presidents of the 20th Century were Nixon and Carter, and you can't call either one of them a great president.
callitdownthel ine75 08/30/2008
There's no doubt that Sarah Palin is very intelligent. The majority of Alaskans obviously think so.
lmorovan 08/30/2008
Surplus revenues year after year, justly distributed among the people of Alaska tells the story.
